Introduction
In June 2004, Sparrow Health System, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine & College of Osteopathic Medicine, Ingham County Medical Care Facility, and the Geriatric Education Center of Michigan at Michigan State University partnered together on a request to the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education for establishment of a Geriatric Fellowship. This partnership reflects a commitment by the partner institutions to invest in creating a system of care for the seniors in this community.
